Paul

Paul is an AAI Scholar from Cameroon, currently studying Chemistry in France. He hopes to solve environmental and economic challenges and contribute to the development of medicine in Cameroon. In addition to his science-focused course load, he also works for the university. He says; “I work with students on campus, who might encounter difficulties with dark thoughts, stress, anxiety, difficulties in studies, or family problems. I listen to them and direct them to professionals who will help them, in complete confidentiality. It’s a role that confronts me with student realities. I understood the importance of showing consideration and empathy to others. A simple sentence like “hello, I hope you are well” can do a lot of good for some people. Today, I know that making others smile makes me happy.”
