Future Ambition: Ian is most passionate about sustainable engineering, particularly about building sustainable homes and communities. He believes that every homesteader worth his salt should know all about self-sustaining homes and the benefits of totally living off the grid. To him, the possibilities of being entirely independent with energy and food sources are so awe-inspiring as it is environmentally-conscious and has low maintenance costs. With a degree in civil engineering, he hopes to design and actualize self-sustaining communities in Kenya which will be able to produce their own energy and food.
