Ashinaga Brazil signs Memorandum of Understanding with JICA Mozambique to promote human development and approximation between Japan, Brazil and the Portuguese Official Language African Countries

On 12th August 2021, JICA and Ashinaga Brazil signed a Memorandum of Understanding with an agreement to promote human development and triangular cooperation between Japan, Brazil and Portuguese-speaking African countries (PALOP).

JICA Mozambique and Ashinaga Brazil recognize the value of mutual cooperation and jointly express, through this Memorandum of Understanding, the desire to collaborate in the training of future leaders and capacity building in Mozambique.

JICA

JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) was established in 1974 and is currently one of the world’s largest bilateral aid agencies supporting socio-economic development in nearly 150 countries worldwide. JICA’s activities contribute to various sectors, including infrastructure, environmental conservation, health, and education.

JICA Mozambique was established in 2003 as part of the expansion of the agency’s activities in the African continent. Since its establishment, JICA Mozambique has been acting in different fronts in the country, aiming at contributing to human development, sustainable growth of the economy, sustainable use of natural resources and environment, and the construction of peace and governance.
