The Kobe Rainbow House was constructed in 1999 thanks to the donation we received from over 150 countries.
Kobe earthquake orphans asked other ASHINAGA children to help organize fund-raising on the streets for children who became orphans because of the earthquakes that struck in Colombia, Turkey and Taiwan in that year successively. The donation they collected was directly handed to each country. With cooperation from governments and local NGO's, the Taiwan Rainbow House was completed in 2000. The Colombia Rainbow House was built in 2001.
The First International Summer Camp for Orphans was held in Kobe, Japan in 2000. We invited children from Colombia, Turkey, Taiwan and Kosovo. Since then we have been holding the internatinal summer camp every year. The countries that have participated in are Afghanistan, Algeria, El Salvador, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Maldives, Sri Lanaka, Thailand, Uganda and the USA.
