Spread Kobe's spirit throughout the world
6,432 people were killed and 573 children were orphaned by the great earthquake in Kobe. A boy drew "the black rainbow," made us realize the extent of their trauma. ASHINAGA raises funds to build a day-care center for orphans. ASHINAGA also began providing emotional support for overseas orphans.

The 6th International Summer Camp for Orphans in Japan 2005
ASHINAGA invited Tsunami orphans from Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia and Maldives, and other orphans from 10 different countries to the summer camp in Japan.
Orphans from 15 different countries gathered together and were able to share many great experiences.
The countries that have participated in the summer camp are Afghanistan, Algeria, Colombia, El Salvador, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Maldives, Serbia Montenegro (Kosovo), Sri Lanaka, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Uganda and the USA.
