We would like to request the following to be considered for press release:

June 2, Japanese ASHINAGA orphaned students have arrived in the most devasted city of Bantul to conduct the research on the java earthquake orphans’ psychological state, and will provide emotional care.

june 3, 10 am, orphans of the great hanshin earthquake in 1995 will conduct a fund-raiser in shibuya, tokyo and in motomachi, kobe.

ASHINAGA (President: Yoshiomi Tamai), an organization supporting children who lost their parents to illness, disaster, suicide and other reasons, has decided to support children who lost their parents in an earthquake that struck in Java on the 27th of May 2006. Today, 2 of ASHINAGA college scholars, who are working as volunteers in Banda Aceh aiming to provide emotional support for tsunami orphans, have arrived in the most devasted city of Bantul. They will conduct a research on the emotional state of Java earthquake orphans, and will provide emotional care.

On June 3, ASHINAGA Student Body will conduct a fund-raiser at Shibuya station in Tokyo and at Motomachi station in Kobe at 10 AM. This fund-raising was called by Masaki Nishiyama (a freshman at Japan College of Social Work), who lost both of his parents in the Great Hanshin Earthquake in Kobe 10 years ago. Masaki contacted other orphaned youths, who are his friends at ASHINAGA, and 15 of them will gather to raise money for Java Earthquake orphans.

The donations will be used to provide emotional care for those Javanese children and to bring them to the ASHINAGA International Summer Camp for Orphans, which ASHINAGA will hold in this coming August inviting 100, including 50 tsunami orphans from 20 different countries/regions.

We wish to ask for your understanding and consideration for press release.
