Eighty-four volunteers participate in orphan care program
facilitator training workshops at Rainbow Houses in Tokyo and Kobe

¡¡As an organization dedicated to providing both material and emotional support to orphans, Ashinaga conducts ¡Ècare programs¡É for elementary and middle school students who have experienced the loss of one or both parents. These programs are held at the Ashinaga Rainbow House facilities in Hino, Tokyo, and Kobe, Hyogo. Volunteer facilitators are the backbone of these programs, and each year workshops are conducted to reinforce their ranks.

¡¡The Feb. 26 to 28 Tokyo workshop attracted a total of 58 participants (38 women and 20 men), who poured huge amounts of energy and enthusiasm into the training activities (photo). Workshop organizers attributed the large number of participants to increased awareness of the issues faced by orphans, as well as broader interest in the activities and programs offered by Rainbow House.
