“In a world where healthcare remains a privilege rather than a fundamental right, I stand firm in my belief that access to adequate healthcare is not negotiable. As a scholar impassioned by the principles of equity and justice, my kokorozashi entails a commitment to advocate for a healthcare system that leaves no one behind, particularly the LGBTQ community.

At the heart of my advocacy lies a strong dedication to dismantling the barriers that hinder individuals from receiving the care they deserve. I refuse to accept a reality where someone’s gender identity or sexual orientation dictates the quality of healthcare they can access. Every individual, regardless of their LGBTQ status, deserves compassionate, affirming, and competent healthcare services. I believe in the power of education as a catalyst for change. Therefore, I pledge to immerse myself in understanding the complexities of LGBTQ healthcare disparities, from discrimination and stigma to systemic inequalities. Armed with knowledge, I will challenge misconceptions, foster empathy, and promote inclusivity within healthcare spaces. I intend to persist in my efforts until healthcare becomes a universal right, not a privilege, and until every person can access care without fear of discrimination or marginalization.”
