BEZAWORK AFEWORK BOGALE

Bezawork Afework (Ph.D.) is an Assistant Professor of Animal ecology and behavior at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. She got her Bachelor degree from Dilla University in Biology (2000) and MSc degree in Zoology from Addis Ababa University (2005). She got her PhD Degree in Biological Sciences (Avian Behavior and Ecology) from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan (2014). She continued her Post doctoral research through the Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) for two years in Utsunomiya University, Japan.  

Dr Bezawork has been working as a lecturer and assistant professor at Hawassa University (2005-2014) and later as assistant professor since 2015 at Addis Ababa University. She has taught different courses, advised several graduate students and published several articles at reputable journals. In addition, she has served as the Director of the Zoological natural History Museum and currently she is the Chairperson of the Department of Zoological Sciences and the Vice president of the Biological Society of Ethiopia.
