THULISILE PHIRI

Thulisile Phesheya Phiri known as Thuli is the Founder and Managing Director of The African Story Teller PTY LTD. The African Story Teller is Africa’s foremost brand reputation and Stakeholder relations management company that services B2B brands across Africa. Prior to this role, she held the dual roles of head of communications and public affairs for General Electric Company (GE) in Southern Africa and co- leader for the GE Africa Affinity Forum. In her role as the co-leader for the GE Africa affinity Forum (AAF) she was tasked with promoting diversity within GE Africa.

She is one of South Africa’s seasoned brand reputation executives and a seasoned communicator with 17 years of experience. She has held various leadership positions with South Africa’s top PR agencies, multi-national companies including successfully running her own boutique marketing communications agency. Thuli has worked with Petrochemical company, TOTAL where she was responsible for communications, media and events in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland. She has also worked with Magna Carta PR Agency as the account director for the corporate accounts division. Thuli is passionate about youth and women leadership development and connecting seasoned leaders in her network with this next generation of leaders.
