Based in New York City, Ashinaga USA was the first regional office established to support the Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI). Ashinaga USA continues to play a crucial role in advancing the AAI through its innovative and unique programming focusing on Scholars’ ongoing connection to and impact in sub-Saharan Africa while at university to create tangible pathways to return to the continent upon graduation.
Ashinaga USA supports high-achieving, low-income students from sub-Saharan Africa who have lost one or both parents. Our mission focuses on our Scholars’ personal, academic and professional development.

- We seek to foster their desire to return to sub-Saharan Africa and to make significant contribution to social change and development in their communities across the continent.
