Whitney is an AAI Scholar from Tanzania, currently studying social entrepreneurship in Japan. Her long-term plan is to create an organization that will support girls to access tertiary education and offer entrepreneurial training to young women in Tanzania. In 2019, Whitney took part in Asia World Model United Nations in Bali, Indonesia where she was a UNHCR delegate representing Congo.
She saw that rural schools in her country do not have libraries, so students have little or no access to books. To solve this, she is working on the One Book Project, which focuses on providing books to rural schools and building public libraries through collaborations with the local communities.
