Noemi Sanin studied Law and Economics with an emphasis on Finance and Commercial Law. She started her professional career in the private financial sector as President and CEO of “Colmena” and some years later as President and CEO of “Corficolombiana”. In public service she was appointed Minister of Communications, Peace Commissioner, and Minister of Foreign Affairs. As a diplomat she was Ambassador to Morocco, Spain, the United Kingdom and Venezuela. In the political sphere she was three times candidate for the Presidency of the Republic of Colombia. Currently she is advisor to “everis an NTT DATA Company”, a multinational consulting company of Spanish origin and President of the Superior Council of Delegates at “Institución Universitaria Politécnico Grancolombiano”. Noemi is Maria Ximena’s mother and Julia and Joaquín´s grandmother.

I join with enthusiasm the Kenjin-Tatsujin International Advisory Council’s initiative. Orphans from Sub-Saharan Africa are our orphans and therefore our responsibility. I strongly support the project.
