Future Ambition: Marc’s ambition is to help stem the spread of counterfeit medicines in Benin. At present, pharmacies in Benin are frequently found to sell fake imitations of over-the-counter drugs, or to falsely market cheap substances as traditional medicines. The counterfeit medicine industry deprives people in Benin of the medical treatments they need, and in some cases, the fake drugs even have harmful side effects. Marc hopes to put his pharmaceutical training to use to ensure that the drugs available to the public in Benin are genuine, safe, good quality medicines.
