Tlalane
University: University of Edinburgh Degree Course: LLB Expected Graduation: 2023 Internship: Tlalane plans to complete her summer internship in 2021 or 2022
Lifelong Ambition: Tlalane’s kokorozashi is to be a ‘voice for the voiceless’, empowering women at a community level to overcome and defy the issues imposed on them. Specifically, she wants to address corruption within Lesotho, and issues concerning the boundary between maintaining local culture but addressing socially perpetuated injustice. She hopes to start an organisation that would serve as a platform to address the aforementioned, providing jobs to other lawyers and journalists, and provide free legal representation to those who would otherwise be unable to afford it.
