Astan

Astan is enrolled in Ashinaga Senegal’s local program. She is getting her degree in management sciences. She earned her Baccalaureate in Science with honors, and last year, she passed the selection test and joined the Ashinaga Senegal local program. In the beginning, she was extremely shy and didn’t speak much. As time went on, she now feels more and more comfortable speaking in public. Astan is working on a community project with other students. She oversees the accounting involved in the project, an important professional skill that relates to her major. In addition to her active participation in the community project, she is very passionate about entrepreneurship. She has collaborated with another student to work together on a personal project to start a small business. Both students have a scientific basis, and their very ambitious project is to produce cheese locally. Her dream is to become self-employed and be an example for other young entrepreneurs in the production and processing sector.
