Ever since started working with Ashinaga, I have always been involved in supporting international students. Prior to that, I have experienced departments such as the admissions office, student support, and career center in the international section of a university. Every day I am encouraged by Ashinaga students’ proactive attitude toward education, the passion of the staff and Ashinaga san’s, donors’, warm messages.
After working overseas for the first time at Ashinaga Uganda Kokoro-Juku in 2018, I realized how lucky I was just because I was born in Japan. This opened up my eyes that there will be some children studying with pencils and reading books under candlelight and young people who have been working for their family and tuitions for the next semester. Supporting people’s learning is my life mission.
